About this Project

This design features an exciting yet sympathetic reimagining of an authentic Tudor kitchen. Proudly celebrating original aspects, it blends period quirks and striking details with handcrafted furnishings and modern touches for tasteful contemporary refinement. Achieving a magnificently light, airy style and a beautiful space that also accommodates large social gatherings, it is the real centre of the home. Featuring two sections, the main kitchen showcases traditionally handcrafted cabinetwork in painted tulipwood, oak, and burr oak and is joined by a dining area, complete with a bespoke dresser with a built-in television.

Dividing the two areas, a curved island bar embodies both form and function – somewhere to lean back with a glass of wine, peruse a cookbook and spread out plates for a family meal. Providing plenty of storage, many drawers, each made from solid oak with traditional dovetail joints, are set on high-quality, soft-close runners. And, adding to storage bliss, a burr oak counter-top pantry hides internal spice racks, finished with curved doors and married with handy bookshelves. While the taller section of this kitchen incorporates a large American-style fridge, a pull-out larder and a built-in microwave oven, the dining area invites you to simply drop tools and relax.
