The Lookout Bench

This elegant lookout bench was created for a Bauhaus inspired property on the Lizard, Cornwall. Entirely unique, it was designed to suit the Modernist styling of the house whilst also embracing its wild Cornish coastal setting. The polished stainless-steel frame takes its influence from designs of Bauhaus architects Josef Albers’ chair, and Marcel Breuer. Meanwhile, the irregular curves of the seat and back, as well as the more regular curve of the legs, represent the coastal view which the bench overlooks.
